MBTI and Communication: MBTI Communication Personality Type Traits and Tips
By Rob Fletcher

Each Myers Briggs (MBTI) personality type has a unique trait when it comes to communication. When team building using the MBTI, it’s essential to investigate each team member’s MBTI communication type. Below you’ll find two helpful instructions for each MBTI type. First, you’ll find a one-sentence summary of that type’s unique communication value. Second, you’ll find a one-sentence summary of a type’s communication preference. This is ‘home base’ for that person’s type. Lastly, you’ll find a tip for that person to communicate more effectively with other types.

Don’t know you or your team’s MBTI type? If you’re part of a team I recommend Quixote Consulting’s [MBTI team building] session. If you’re curious about what your individual type is you can explore each of the four preference pairs by reading the articles in the free resources section on the right hand side of the page here and decide for yourself.
