My father, Robert Alexander Fletcher is 81 today. He’s still drawing and painting, still working around the farm, still planning book projects. He’s an inspiration in persistence. He loves ideas and he loves making those ideas come to life. The farm I grew up on looks very different today than when I was born, all thanks to his ideas, interest and industry. And he’s always had projects that he worked on and continues to this day. He has enough ideas to take a few lifetimes to come to fruition, but he’s not letting that stop him. He’s a creator.
Here‘s a YouTube video that takes a look at his painting. He’s so amazing that I determined pretty quickly when I was a kid not to be an artist – I could never be that good.
